Smells bad but there's a key in instinct

Opening the Presidential cabinet meeting with prayer makes the government a theocratic one. The Handmade's Tale popped into mind. God appointing all kings and principalities is a historical claim. Suddenly, the cracking down on the government agencies had the feeling of the rise of Hitler wafting through my experiential reality.

But then there's watching a video on cow hoof trimming wherein they explain that herd animals do not express pain. Weak prey animals in a herd are often picked off or put out of the herd. Any show of weakness would put them in danger. I experience the thought about humans with what we call a high pain tolerance. It would be the same; repressing, brushing off, dismissing, ignoring to the point of desensitizing if we grow up in survival mode, always alert to others, our surroundings and anything on the approach.  We can't allow healing in if we've got walls around awareness of a problem and wards placed by ourselves to prevent awareness being drawn to them by our re-prioritized mind and others. In that case, it's not higher pain tolerance, it's a greater masking ability.
