It's a theme, we're all burning

A Facebook post by a friend elicited the following response from me:
Precisely! And you speak it so eloquently! Especially for those of us who have born a greater number of children we come to those days when we just want to throw down the load, have our bodies and our emotions to ourselves. We live in a society where it's child abuse to cry in front of our children (as if they don't empathically know every crack and crevice of our souls; they do so insult their intelligence). How else will our children learn it's O.K. to accept all their emotions and how to handle them and that they CAN handle them? We hope our children never need burn as bad as we do; that we've saved them from all the abuses we have to unfuck ourselves from. The fact is; the toxic masculine and feminines, the patriarchy are going down. They see their end is near and they're not going gracefully. They're asserting themselves all the more ferociously, coming out of the shadows with chests puffed out, hoarding victims to bring with them underground so their appetites will be fed in the darkness they know awaits them. More than ever our children need the examples of parents who can burn and rise, be those phoenixes coming gloriously out of the ashes. So yes, many of us know how it feels and you are not alone.
