My Best Valentine's Day Ever

Image result for images dancing with my son valentines day

It was Valentine's Day. My two children and I walked to the convenience store for snacks. While my children browsed for the gummies and chocolate, maybe some ice cream; I spotted the silk roses. No one was going to be buying me one, I knew. No one, that is, except me! A catchy tune came onto the overhead speakers and I began to dance to it as I waited, holding my rose close, delighted in it's velvety smooth silken softness. My son approaches and asks what the rose is for. I answer and ask; "Wanna dance with me?". Hands full of goodies, he replied; "I don't know how", "That's O.K."; I responded and he turned away. As I came back in my spin, there he was with his hand out. He had turned away only to set his goodies down. So, silk rose in my mouth, I danced with my son, in a convenience store, on Valentine's Day.

Remembering that story I imagined the wondering "What if the whole world's purpose and intent was to find ways to light us up with delight like this?". I felt the feeling of just such a reality the very moment I wondered it. It added it's self to that dancing moment, creating an even better "Best Valentine's Day Ever" for me this morning.
