We're all pretty familiar with the accusation that somebody is looking "down their nose" at somebody. Maybe they call it "sticking their nose up in the air". Basically, the accusation is of being "uppity", thinking one is better than another. I look up quite often; I'm a dreamer and ponderer. I glance down; I hold my head high and focus on what could be ahead. I've been accused of being "stuck up" when I'm just in a state of reflection. So, I came up with a meme:
Looking down my nose doesn't make me uppity.
It means you're in my peripheries.
That doesn't make me mean.
Own your own state of being.
